1,000 Greatest Drivers: Dario Resta

Believe it or not, there was another Indy 500 winner named Dario... if it counts as an Indy 500 win.

I don’t think this is quite up to my usual caliber as I am really exhausted since my mom fell last night and even though the paramedics lifted her into bed, I was unable to fall asleep afterward. Resta is my third straight birthday driver although he died just short of 100 years ago and this entry is consistent with both of my usual trends of alternating between an open wheel driver, a stock car driver, and a touring car driver. However, that cycle is going to break down very shortly as I won’t be writing about another stock car driver until August 20 (guess who). It is a weird coincidence that two different drivers named Dario were both Indy winners and champions when I’m not sure I can think of another one. Oh wait, I just remembered the rally driver Dario Cerrato. Anyway…
