1,000 Greatest Drivers: Frank Lockhart
The only lock whose name starts with Lock.
Speaking of locks, I got locked out of my Twitter account after I attempted to send a direct message to my mutual follower Aaron Likens, the current IndyCar flagman and autism advocate last night. I did contact him through his site, but yeah, that was kind of the last straw for me with regard to social media in general. I’m tired of it although I’ll keep my Facebook since it’s my only connection to people locally and my YouTube channel since I have too big a following there to completely purge it, but I never really gained traction on any “microblogging” platforms and they just stress you out more than they actually have value, so I’m ready to abandon them.
When I visited my mom yesterday, she thought I was coming to rescue her from the nursing home and take her home, but I know I’m still going to need to clear that with the Village of North Syracuse, so I invited the code enforcement officer to come check my progress on Monday morning so I’m going to have to quickly wash a cavalcade of hoarded dishes strewn across the floor without a functional dishwasher and I’ve been working on it. Wish me luck.
As for Lockhart, his birthdate seems to be disputed and I can’t confirm it. Most of the usually reliable sources say he was born on April 8, but Wikipedia is saying either March 5 or March 8 with links to U.S. Census records so I’m not sure. I’m going with March 8 because most other sources are saying the 8th and Wikipedia seems convinced it was March and I’m going to go with something linking to Census records other than Champ Car Stats, Motorsports Memorial, driverdb, and racing-reference, which may all be cheating off each other’s papers here.
