I started writing this on Sunday evening and only finished it now, but I’m going to try to do the Jim Clark column I intended for yesterday immediately afterward. I really wore myself today essentially taking a seven-mile lap around the village of North Syracuse to go to the bank and give them a copy of the power of attorney form so I would be allowed to talk to them about my mom’s account and her housing loan without her having to be there. Then I walked down the road to the DMV where I was hoping to get the title placed in my name now that I have the power of attorney so hopefully I can sell it since it hasn’t been running for five years and is taking up space in my garage; maybe I can sell it for the amount of at least one housing payment, but pretty soon, I fully expect Medicaid is going to start clearing out my mom’s bank account since she is in the nursing home (and I’m still trying to get her out, which is why I had her do a health care proxy form as well), but much to my surprise, they haven’t yet so I guess I can still pay all our bills for April. But whenever Medicaid does clear out her bank account (and I’m surprised they haven’t yet), I’m gonna have to join a temp agency or something to try to get a real job quickly…
