1,000 Greatest Drivers: Marcos Ambrose
He stepped out of his comfort zone in an era when his Supercars contemporaries didn't.
I started writing this in the time period between the second IndyCar race at Milwaukee and the Southern 500. I finished during Stage 3 of the Southern 500 (it helped that the race was so dull that I didn’t really think I missed very much). Because I want to finish listening to the race and I’ve got some other stuff to do, I’m going to cut it pretty short here, but I do want to mention that I have just been accepted into the Fantasy Sports Writers Association since I have been writing at RotoBaller for over a year now. I’m not sure what kind of opportunities that might lead to in the long run, but I’m eager to find out. My RotoBaller boss Jordan McAbee won the FSWA Racing Writer of the Year award last year so there’s definitely some potential here, but since I don’t have a day job, the glamour I get from this doesn’t really pay the bills…
