Australia Week: Episode #2

I’m sort of puzzled by why my number of views (which was 40 on almost every post) suddenly went down to 10 for the Jack Brabham post, especially because the percentage of users who opened it was comparable to all the other posts. Did Substack change how it defines a view or something?

Anyway, this marks my second great Australian driver in a row, although obviously, the David Brabham post won’t be done until tomorrow. While visiting Mom today in the nursing home, the bus just never showed up so I perhaps stupidly walked the 3.5 miles to the downtown bus terminal to catch a later bus and I’m pretty sore. I ended up getting home about an hour and a half later than usual, which is why I’m probably not gonna be able to get both posts done before I go to bed tonight although I wanted to. Although I don’t usually go to the nursing home on weekends since there are no buses out of the village of North Syracuse on Saturdays and Sundays, I have scheduled a visit tomorrow and the notary public is going to drive me there Saturday morning with the intent to sign a power of attorney and a health care proxy form hopefully. The notary had originally scheduled for Tuesday but couldn’t make it then, so I’m glad she’s willing to drive me there tomorrow because she did not have to do that. Medicaid still hasn’t charged Mom’s bank account for the nursing home much to my surprise. Still don’t know what I’ll do when that kicks in. Probably try to get a temp job and see her a lot less, although I want to be with her as much as possible…
