Sorry, I’m late. My mom is in the emergency room after a fall yesterday and she just got transferred to in-patient services. She’s had a number of falls in the last year and I believe she has a urinary tract infection as well. I went to the hospital to visit her today where I learned they were wanting to send her to a rehab but I know she doesn’t want to go there and she had made it known to me that she wants to stay in the hospital. I was arguing with the hospital workers about this but apparently she was reported to adult protective services and has been forced to give up her autonomy to some extent, which is against her wishes but she can’t really voice her wishes properly. I guess they thought I was being too belligerent and argumentative and they ejected me from the campus, telling me that I would not be allowed to either visit again or contact her until I receive a call back from her social worker. Since that probably won’t happen tomorrow on New Year’s, I guess I’ll work on this instead. I was so angry and I guess my adrenaline was pumping so hard that I walked the eight miles home from the hospital rather than waiting four hours for the next bus or wasting money on a cab. That’s probably the most I’ve ever walked in my life and I really overexerted myself as my knees and to a lesser extent my back were hurting by the time I got back. But although I’d much rather be back in the hospital, I got this done. I will probably go off-topic and write about my mom and my awful last couple years in general after finishing the list. I do intend to finish the list soon, but I don’t know if I’m ready to start doing daily driver capsules for 2025 yet.
